NIPC Advances Digital Procurement Transformation with e-GP Pilot MDAs
The National Procurement & Infrastructure Commission (NIPC ) has taken a major step toward enhancing transparency, efficiency, and accountability in public procurement with the inaugural meeting of the Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) Pilot MDAs on March 7, 2025, at the Ministry of Finance in Kampala.
The session, chaired by the Minister of Finance, brought together key representatives from pilot Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to assess their preparedness for the transition to the digital procurement system.
The Chirperson of NIPC outlined the benefits of e-GP, emphasizing its role in streamlining procurement processes, reducing corruption risks, and improving service delivery.
Discussions also covered implementation readiness, security measures, and training plans to ensure a smooth adoption of the system.
